Many years ago, when I embarked upon married life, I began to discover things about myself. I found that I loved traveling, decorating, crafting, sewing, collecting vintage glassware and china, and hosting parties. Because people interest me, I love discovering their experiences, adventures, the things the Lord is doing in their lives, and the things that interest them and ignite their passion. Passion for something is amazing! It can lift you to the most incredible places and experiences. Passion is a strong or extravagant fondness, enthusiasm or desire for anything.
Hi Debbie ~ you just inspired me to use some heirloom dishes, etc. for my bridge club this week. I'm not much of an entertainer, but this could be fun. I have a lot of beautiful dishes, tea cups, & glassware that just sit on shelves & my children don't want. You'll have to read my blog entry (June 23 -- "Grandma's Bobblehead" ) about that. Ha!
Sounds like a lot of fun Jan! I understand the generations after us aren’t into vintage anything! Sad because there are so many treasured items we would like to pass down along with stories and f how things were used. One of my favorites is the Chatelaine. Do you know what those are? If not, check out on Ebay. They have really increased in value. How do I find your blog? Have fun with your friends! 😊
Morning, Debbie ~ somehow I know what chatelaines are but don't know how. Maybe from watching "Downton Abbey." Ha! But if you go back to www.substack.com and put my name in for writers (top right) you will find my blog "That's Good to Know." If you click on that, you will find all my blog entries. Thanks!
Debbie is most wonderful entertainer. I love seeing her posts of the different parties she holds for friends.
Thank you so much Vickie! I hope this is fun for all of us. 😊
Thank you! I will do that. Happy day!
